We're coming to take you away, hurrah!! was an event organised for the London premiere screening of File under Sacred Music - Iain and Jane's remake of the infamous, but rarely seen, bootleg video of The Cramps performing at Napa Mental Institute. The night featured several screenings of the film punctuated by live music performances in the ICA theatre and DJs in the bar.
For File under Sacred Music (20 mins DVD with sound) Iain and Jane had staged a re-enactment of the Cramps' show at Napa at the ICA earlier in 2003, putting together a band to perform as The Cramps featuring Alfonso Pinto from The Parkinsons as Lux Interior, White Stripes collaborator Holly Golightly as Poison Ivy, Bruce Brand from Thee Headcoats as Bryan Gregory and John Gibbs from The Wildebeests as Nick Knox. Iain and Jane also worked with mental health arts organisations Core Arts, Sound Minds and Mad Pride to collaborate with users and survivors of the psychiatric system, who formed the invited audience.
