SOLO SHOW AT LIGHTHOUSE, BRIGHTON

We’re delighted to be presenting a solo exhibition at Lighthouse for the Brighton Festival. The show will feature File under Sacred Music, our remake of an infamous bootleg video documenting a live performance by The Cramps for the patients at Napa State Mental Institute, California on 13 June 1978. Also featured in the exhibition will be Do you love me like I love you, a series of films commissioned by Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds to accompany the reissue of their influential back catalogue. These works create a portrait of each album, personified through the stories and intonation of the people who have loved and lived them. There are currently 11 films in the series, and these will be shown back-to-back in the gallery. The exhibition previews on Friday 4 May, 4.30-7pm, and is then open to the public 5-26 May 11am-6pm at Lighthouse,28 Kensington Street, Brighton BN1 4AJ. On 12 May we will be presenting a performance of Performer. Audience. Fuck Off. at The Basement (24 Kensington Street), which will be followed by a Q&A at Lighthouse.
