Liverpool Art Tripper


Iain Forsyth and Jane Pollard presented a series of podcasts that document Liverpool, commissioned by the BBC & Arts Council England to create new work to accompany Simon Schama new BBC2 series ‘Power of Art’. During 2006, the artists were been regular visitors to the city while working on ‘Silent Sound’, a major new project at Greenland Street for the Liverpool Biennial.

During these trips they came to know Liverpool through the eyes of others, unofficial guides all providing unique insights and perspectives on a city in the process of cultural transformation. Each episode features a single guide who pulls sharp focus onto a particular area or aspect of Liverpool. Participants include the band To My Boy, entrepreneur Gary McClarnan and Steve Moran, Trustee of the Williamson Tunnels.
