When invited to contribute to the debut issue of the new art magazine Victoria - a free broadsheet of contemporary art, Iain and Jane produced a truly topical and accessible photographic project. A four page, centre spread 'pull-out', featuring an Oasis tribute band - Oasisn't. The issue was launched and widely distributed at a time when every mainstream magazine and newspaper was filled with images of 'The Gallaghers'. Iain and Jane arranged a 'special' acoustic set from the fake Liam and Noel at the launch party for the magazine at the Groucho Club. The band were then whisked away in the back of a black cab to be interviewed by The Sun!
Victoria was a London-based publication that aimed to introduce artist's work to a wider audience. The debut issue was distributed free through cafes, bars, pubs, shops, cinemas and galleries. Other artist's work featured in the first issue, included Tracey Emin, Marc Quinn, Martin Maloney, Pauleen Daley, Simon Periton, Rezza Arameshi and Matthew Higgs.
